Meet Wes

Wes Pate is a proud son of Kentucky, a devoted husband, and the father of four children who inspire his commitment to service, faith, and hard work. Raised with the values of community, integrity, and responsibility, he has carried those principles into every role he’s taken on; from the bedside as a baccalaureate-prepared registered nurse to leadership in his hometown.
With a strong background in healthcare, Wes has served as an Emergency Room nurse, a Cath Lab Pre-Op and Recovery nurse, and now works in a leadership role as the Sepsis Clinical Program Specialist within his hospital’s Accreditation Department. His experience on the front lines and in clinical leadership has shaped his practical, people-first approach to solving problems, improving systems, and healthcare policy.
Wes’s commitment to service also extends to local government. He was appointed by the Mayor of Lewisport and the City Council to serve as councilman, and went on to win every subsequent election to secure the Mayor Pro Tempore position. Through years of local leadership, he assisted with balancing budgets, supporting workers, and strengthening essential services for his community.

Beyond his work at home, Wes is an international medical missionary of 10 years, bringing compassionate healthcare to underserved communities in Honduras. These missions have given him a deep appreciation for servant leadership.
A lifelong conservative, Wes has been a registered Republican since the day he turned 18, reflecting his longstanding commitment to limited government, personal responsibility, and the hardworking families of Kentucky. A pro-worker, fiscally responsible leader, he believes in protecting Kentucky families and investing in the next generation of Kentuckians.
Driven by faith and grounded by his roots, Wes is dedicated to building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for the Commonwealth.
